23 Random Facts About NEWS Masuda Takahisa

Yeay, After doing Hey! Say! Jump, i finally be able to do NEWS’s member random facts. Recently, i’m so addicted with NEWS and sing their song a lot. I really like their song and their story is touhing my otome heart so deep. Hehe.

Well, at first, i will post about Masuda Takahisa whom i really like the most on NEWS. I’m kinda addicted with his gentle voice and his totally unfunny character.

So without further a do, let’s do Massu~~~~!!

 

1. The Reason He Entered Johnny & Associates

When he was young, Massu didn’t really have any interest on JA but he really loves singing. One day, his older sister’s friend saw him and suggested him to join JA. And he did it.

Massu entered Johnny’s on 1998 (when i was still four years old btw) and auditioned on the same day with Nakamaru Yuichi (KAT-TUN), Kamenashi Kazuya (KAT-TUN), Tsukasa (ABC-Z), and Fujigaya Taisuke (Kis-My Ft2).

2. His Early Days as JA’s Junior

When he was junior, he danced a lot for Arashi and Kinki Kids.

He admired them and also respected Hideaki Takizawa so much. Back then Massu was known as the steel arm because his arm was so stiff and had a lot of muscle. He also became one of best dancer among junior.

Before becoming NEWS, Massu was apart of Kis-My and symbolized the word “M”.

3. He and His Body Concern

Massu concern his body too much, recently he was called “デブーdebu” or fat because he gained some weight. Massu said that he is not fat, actually he is perfectly on good shape right now. People often says that he is fat because Tegoshi is skinny.

4. He and His Character

It’s infamous thing that among NEWS member, Massu is the only one who doesn’t have character on personality. While Koyama is known as caster, Kato Shigeaki as writer, and Tegoshi with his breaktrough on variety shows, Massu has nothing to be shown off. Even his fan also confuse about his personality. LOL.

Massu said that he tries his best to live as idol, but people around him give him presure to show more. Massu is always questioned by the staff  “what kind of personality that you have?” and at the end there’s none. LOL.

On special program called Hen Labo (2016), when NEWS became main personality of 24 hours TV, some suggestion was offered to him.

• He as Uta-Onii Chan or Singing Brother (who sing for kids in order to make them happy or not crying anymore)

• He as High Schooler

• And the last he as super idol who can melts girl’s heart. LOL

 

Other member also suggest Massu to …

• Tegoshi suggest Massu to do something that nothing to do with Idol stuff

• Koyama suggest Massu to become Taisho Onii-chan

• Kato suggest Massu to become Uta Onii-chan

• (A certain comedian, idk his name).. suggest Massu to do gourment report. His smiles is beautiful enough to deliver gourmet report without giving any comments. LOL.

5. His Likes

He likes gyoza so much and be able to eat 50 pieces of gyoza on one time. He loves any kind of gyoza, but his favorite is fried gyoza (yaki gyoza).

 

6. His Dislikes

He dislikes bugs, tiny thing that can move, bird, and dirty things. Massu also hate warming machine.

 

7. He is actually having OCD

Massu is called “Keppeksho” by other people because his love toward cleanness is way too much.

Before he seat, Massu will wipe the chair first with tissue.

Cannot take shower when the bathroom is dirty. When NEWS perform, Massu won’t take shower after Kato or Tegoshi because these two are pretty messed up when take bath (like putting pants everywhere and let the water dirtied floor and the wall. LOL).

 

8. He and Clothes

Massu confessed that he love clothes too much and collect many kind of clothes. He has ton of t-shirt in his apartment and arranged them by their brand. He confessed that he probably has more than hundred of t-shirt because he never throw his shirt even he doesn’t wear it anymore.

Not only loves wearing them, Massu also often drink sake (alcohol) while watching his clothes in the shelves. LOL.

At first, Massu didn’t know what to do with his love toward clothes and finally realized that he loves designing clothes and making costume for their (NEWS) concert. He then become the costume designer not only for NEWS but also for his kohai, Hey! Say! Jump (DEAR Concert 2016).

9. The Most Stylish Person on JA

Not only his kohai (junior), his senpai also admitted that Massu is the most stylish person on JA.

Massu’s style is unique and he loves wearing oversized clothes.

10. And The Most Sociable Person

Massu is probably the most sociable person in NEWS. He often attend Johnny’s drinking party both with his kohai or senpai. He also often attend another group’s concert or stagepaly. Sakurai Sho (Arashi) mentioned that whenever he attend drinking party or dinner with other Johnny’s member, Massu will always be there. Sakurai said that Massu is like his stalker. LOL.

11. He is also a perfectionist

Massu is pretty perfectionist when it comes to clothes or costume. When otther (NEWS) member wear his costume, Massu will be the one who make sure that his clothes is perfectly fit. He will arrange the clothes one by one and will be angry if other member didn’t wear the clothes in good manner.

12. He is also the weirdest

When NEWS has concert or tour, they usually spend the night at hotel. While Kato, Koyama, and Tegoshi are okay with sleeping together, Massu doesn’t feel alright about that. The manager or staff usually booked two rooms so they could sleep 2 person in one room. But it always end Kato, Koyama and Tegoshi will sleep in the same room, and Massu in other room by himself. LOL

13. And the most serious person

Despite having look like childish character, Massu is actually a serious person. When he designs clothes, he will seriously draw the skecth so other staff will easily understand what he wants. He also will discuss with other stylish before making the decision. He will also call other member (mostly he call Kato Shigeaki) when he has idea.

14. Plus the most unfunny person

It’s pretty infamous that Massu is totally unfunny when he tells joke untill other member make him to stop.

Koyama apologize to his senpai Arashi for Massu who said something totally unfunny! LOL.

15. But He is Kind Person

Massu always make sure to greet his senpai when they work together. Massu also always give a call to his senpai or kohai when their birthday come. Massu write other people birth date on his phone right away after receiving their number, that’s why he always remember their birthday. He call at least one person every three days (in average) to say “happy birthday” to them. LOL.

Back on junior days, Senga Kento (Kis-My Ft2) said that Massu is kind person. When Massu invited Senga to eat dinner, they went home by taxi. Senga teased Massu and said to driver that he will go to Nagoya (it’s so far from Tokyo). Senga thought that Massu will laugh and scolded him (Senga is stiil junior) but it end up Massu asked the driver “how much it will take to go to Nagoya” with serious face. LOL.

FYI, it takes around 100.000¥ (or $1.000) to go to Nagoya by taxi.

16. He easily cries

17. He and Books

Massu has many books (mostly novel) in his apartment, but actually never read them.

The only book that he ever read is “ 芸人交壊日記―Gei-ning Koukai Nikki “ written by Osamu.

Massu said that he loves seeing his book beautifully arranged but hates reading kanji. LOL. He never read “Pink To Gray” written by Kato Shigeaki, even after received it twice. LOL.

18. He and Cooking

Massu rarely cooks for himself but tries his best to cook for work related.

19. He and NEWS

He and NEWS are unseparatable. Eve when he already debutted as TEGOMASS alongside  Tegoshi Yuya, Massu consider NEWS as his home. Unlike Koyama and Kato, Massu is probably not really close enough with NEWS’s member in private. But Massu stated that their relationship is solid.

When it  comes to hyegine, Massu will trust Koyama Keiichiro. When asked who is among the member that he can live together with, Massu answer that he will choose Koyama because Koyama is pretty considerate about cleaning matter.

When asked who is among the member that he can be married with, Massu said that he will marry Kato Shigeaki. Massu is bad at cooking, so it will be so much easy if his wife Kato can cook for him. LOL.

Kato ever said that Massu sometimes are difficult to understand and sometimes his idea was way too great that Koyama and Tegoshi didn’t catch with it. That’s why Massu often call him for suggestion whenever he has idea.

20. He and Nakamaru Yuichi

Massu and Nakamaru are audtioned on the same day and become close friend since then. They often hang out, having dinner, and even having vacation together. They two ever went to Okinawa which is famous for the beach and the sea but end up spending their time indoor because Nakamaru was way to tired to play around. LOL.

They also ever had a trip to Hawaii only the two of them. Nakamaru said that when they were in Hawaii, all the people around them are newlywed, Nakamaru had a hunch that other people saw him and Massu are couple as well. LOL.

21. He and Arioka Daiki

Massu and Dai-chan is pretty close as kohai-senpai. Dai-chan is actually a person who asked Massu to design costume for Hey! Say! Jump’s concert. Massu often invites Dai-chan to eat and they have many work together.

Dai-chan used to dance  alot for NEWS and appeared on the same TV program with Massu.

Massu ever said that he and Dai-chan’s character (as an idol) are pretty much alike. For example for their position in a group and their personality.

Well, i agree with this because they are really look a like …

• Massu and Dai-chan both cast in Medical Dorama. Massu on Resident 5 (2012) while Dai-chan on Code Blue 3 (2017). Their role are the son and successor of famous doctor and have the complex feeling toward their father whom great doctor.

• Massu and Dai-chan are known with their gourmet report. And they often give weird, unfunny, and confusing comment. LOL.

• Massu and Dai-chan have their own OCD. Massu toward cleaness while Dai-chan toward his belongings.

• Massu and Dai-chan become rapper on their group.
• They both can’t cook.

 

22. His Ideal Girlfriend

Massu’s ideal girlfriend is someone stylish, cute, and be able to cook. Massu said that he admires  girl who works in bread shop because they look cute and kind. Massu also consider a girl looks beautiful when she tries her best having workout on the gym.

Massu has shoes’s inside fetish. He likes seeing a girl who take care of her inside of shoes. When he sees a girl’s shoes inside are pretty and clean, he will think that she is suited with him.

23. His Ideal Home

Massu wants his house to be big and has great scenery. It has to be high and surrounded by glasses, so he can stand up naked while seeing beautiful view from his house. LOL.
