Yeay finally, we’ve come to to the last NEWS random facts and it belongs to Tegoshi Yuya. At first I’m not really interested with Tegoshi because he is too ‘charai’ for me. But recently I’m so addicted with his silly act and of course his powerful voice. I start watching his dorama and movie and it makes me like him more. Even he is currently busy with his variety shows breakthrough, but I hope he will play dorama or movie again.

So, without further a do, here’s some random facts about Tegoshi Yuya.

 

1. His Junior Days on Johnny & Associates

The reason Tegoshi enrolled JA was because his mother’s wish. While Tegoshi only wanted all girls scream “Kyaaa” to him. LOL.

As junior, Tegoshi was known as shy and quite kid, that’s why many people are suprised with his current personality right now.

Tegoshi is considered as an elite among junior (and Johnny’s member) because he debuted as NEWS only 10 months after his audition.

 

Because of that, Tegoshi didn’t have much experience like the other junior. He also lacks of knowledge about Johnny’s and information about his senpai before him.

2. He and His Family

Tegoshi is the only child. He lives with his mother and his grandmother. His father already passed away on 2015. Tegoshi often describes his mother as strong and fierce person. When Tegoshi wanted to quit Johnny’s, his mother said “Then quit already” rather than giving him an encouragement. Thanks to his mother, Tegoshi didn’t quit Johnny’s and become a super idol.

3. He and His Private Life

Tegoshi doesn’t have much friend on Johnny’s,he rarerly go out with his senpai and kohai. Tegoshi said that he put his 100% his passion to NEWS when they work, and 0% outside of work. Tegoshi often go out with his childhood friend rather than with his co-star or colleagues on Johnny’s. Tegoshi said that he has many friend who have the same hobby as him,  they often playing soccer or just simply watching the football match together.

4. He and NEWS

Tegoshi confessed that he really hated NEWS at first. Tegoshi who always become the leader (like in class or school) suddenly became the least popular member and the youngest on NEWS. He didn’t like that feeling, that’s why he wanted to quit. Even Tegoshi was told that he joined NEWS because his vocal talent but it end up either Yamashita Tomohisa or Nishikido Ryo got the most part of singing. Tegoshi almost didn’t have any solo part when they sing.

But after NEWS got crisis and lost 5 members, Tegoshi finally got his chance and power. He positively said that he wanted to continue NEWS.

Massu said that Tegoshi is the one who pull the group to make something great. His deduction and intuition on projects never missed. Tegoshi said that he has great intuition, when he said that this song is going to be cool, then it will be great, and all member will follow him.

While NEWS was on crisis, Tegoshi was debutted as TEGOMASS along with Masuda Takahisa. Tegoshi and Massu were picked as TEGOMASS  due to their vocal talent and they were often paired up when they’re junior. Thanks to TEGOMASS, many people finally notices Tegoshi. Both Tegoshi and Massu got a lot of attention and fans. Even they’re succsess as duo, it seems that Tegoshi’s love toward NEWS is greater.

 

6. His and His Charisma

Among Johnny’s member, Tegoshi is known with his “ouji-sama” character or prince character. Tegoshi who easily says sweet word to his fans become so much popular among both young and old people. Many people said that they notice NEWS due to Tegoshi’s “ouji-sama” character.

7. He and His Dogs

Tegoshi loves dog and currently has two dogs named Skull (male) and Emma (female). He originally only had one dog, Skull but he thought that probably Skull needs partner that;s why he bought another one. He named his dog Emma which he taken from one of NEWS’s song, Emma. NEWS member said that Tegoshi often send his dog’s picture on group chat and it’s pretty much annoying. LOL.

8. His Likes

Tegoshi likes rock music and he is really happy when NEWS do rock song.

Tegoshi also fan of Harry Potter and Pirates Carribean. When singing BYAKUYA, he imagine himself lives in those magical worlds.

Tegoshi also like soccer and actually good at it. His favorite football club is Barcelona and his favorite player is Lionel Messi.

9. His Dislike

He doesn’t like sweets.

 

10. His Fear

He is scared with dark place and ghost.

Tegoshi also mentioned that he also feels scared with his “Jimusho/Agency = Johnny & Associates”. Whenever he got call from JA, Tegoshi would think that he does something wrong. LOL.

 

11. He is Good At …

Tegoshi is good at memorizing picture, smells, and words.

12. He is Bad At …

• But he is so bad at memorizing an event.

Tegoshi forgot TEGOMASS’s debut year.

Tegoshi forgot that he ever had sleepover on Tamamori Yuta’s house when they’re junior.

• Tegoshi also bad at housework activity.

• Also bad at drawing, but his drawing is kinda cute in some way! Hehe!

 

13. He is Flashy

Tegoshi is really okay with his ‘charai’ or flashy character. He dyed his hair into blonde because he really wanted to stand out. Tegoshi also has many collection like clothes, pants, and bags that has leopard or skull motive on it.

14. He is Childish

All member NEWS said that Tegoshi doesn’t change a bit since they were young. He freely does anything he wants and does many prank to other member (mostly to Koyama or Shige). Tegoshi doesn’t prank Massu because Massu will simply mad at him.

15. But Actually A Kind Person

Back on Junior Days, when Tegoshi and  Senga Kento (Kis My-Ft2) went home together by train, Senga was molested by a woman. Senga who was middle schooler that time couldn’t do anything and remained silent. Tegoshi who saw that finally made a move and scolded the woman. Tegoshi then continued to scold her when they take off from the train.

16. And Also Serious One

People often consider Tegoshi as playfull type and does anything without even trying. But according to Massu, Tegoshi is really serious person and actually a hardworker. Before performing on stage, Tegoshi will ask other member to practice. Once Koyama called Tegoshi through phone and he heard Tegoshi was practicing the song that they will perform later.

17. He and His HeartBroken Experience

When he was teenager, Tegoshi likes a girl that he admired. Tegoshi never told her that he likes her. For two years, they’re just became a friend, and Tegoshi was very busy with his work. After two years of one sided love, Tegoshi finally confessed to that girl. Too bad for him, the girl rejected Tegoshi by saying “It would be yes if you confessed two years ago, right now i already had a boyfriend”. That girl also said that he couldn’t meet Tegoshi again because she didn’t wanna let his boyfriend down. Tegoshi who heard that was very sad and even mentioned that he cried all day. Rather than hated that girl who just rejected him, Tegoshi confessed that he liked her more. LOL.

Fortunately, after crying all night long, he already moved on the next day. LOL.

18. He and Marriage

Tegoshi said that he wants to marry. Tegoshi mentioned that he is the type who easily fall in love with a girl and also believes love at the first sight.

If one day he met his fan and fell in love with her, it would be possible for him marrying her.

Despite his childish act, Tegoshi is actually a family man. When asked what is the first thing that he consider when buying a house, Tegoshi said that the house should be comfortable to his child. The enviroment should has greenpark or playground where he can play together with his child. Awww.

 

19. He and Koyama Keiichiro

Tegoshi does so much prank on Koyama and often forces Koyama to do something weird. Koyama is the most tolerable person toward Tegoshi. When Koyama cooked cup ramen and leave it for washing his hand, Tegoshi put an-pan (sweet bean bread) on it. Tegoshi also put umeboshi on Koyama drink when they were in the middle of concert. Tegoshi also ever slipped his dirty pansu on Koyama’s bag when they finished working together. LOL.

 

20. He and Kato Shigeaki

    

The most memorable moment that Tegoshi has with Shige is when he turned twenty years old. In Japan, 20 years old is the legal age to drink alcohol and many young people will drink sake (alcohol) to celebrate their 20 years old birthday. Tegoshi who lives with his parent decided to drink his first alcohol with Shige who lives alone in apartment. To celebrate Tegoshi’s birthday, Shige cooked spagetti for Tegoshi and they drink a lot that time. Tegoshi said that he felt so sick and actually didn’t remember anything after drinking alcohol. When he opened his eyes, he already on the top of Shige’s bed. Shige said that it was so messed up because Tegoshi threw up for three times after his first time drinking alcohol. LOL.

21. His Ideal Girlfriend (Wife)

His ideal Girlfriend or wife is like Koyama Keiichiro who always take care of him.

Even he loves to party and shows his ‘charai’ character but Tegoshi confessed that he easily falls in love with nice girl.

Tegoshi is lovey-dovey type, so it would be nice if his girl can do sweet thing to him from time to time.

Even he sometimes looks stubborn, but Tegoshi said that he can change himself if his girl said so.
